獎勵就讀本系碩士班獎學金(Master's program scholarship)
[Purpose]
- To encourage students to enroll in the Master’s program of the Department of Chemical Engineering, the "Department of Chemical Engineering Reward for Enrolling in the Master's Program" (hereinafter referred to as this regulation) has been established.
- New Master’s students admitted to the Department with undergraduate graduation rankings in the top 70% of their class or department from this university or other universities.
- Students who were admitted to a national university's graduate program in engineering, physics, or chemistry but chose to enroll in the Department of Chemical Engineering’s Master’s program instead.
- Those who meet the above criteria but have any of the following conditions are not eligible to apply. If already granted, the reward will be suspended, and those who have received it must return the funds:
- Engaged in full-time employment inside or outside the university.
- Leaving the university due to suspension or withdrawal.
- Receiving an honor scholarship that has been approved.
- Failing to complete at least 20 hours of departmental service per semester.
[Application Procedure]
New Master's students should submit their application to the department office within one week after registering for the first semester of the first year, including the application form announced on the department's website and transcripts with class (or department) ranking. Students admitted through the Master's program entrance exam should submit their application to the department office within one week after registering in the final semester of their senior year, including the application form announced on the department’s website and transcripts from the first semester of their freshman year to the first semester of their senior year, showing class (or department) ranking.
[Approval and Distribution]
- Eligible students may apply for scholarships for up to two semesters before their enrollment.
- Each semester, students who pass the qualification review may be awarded the total scholarship amount for that semester, with a maximum of 40,000 TWD per student. To encourage students to strive for excellence, if there is any remaining budget for the second semester's scholarship, it will be allocated to students who achieve a GPA of 3.76 (85) or above in the previous semester, with a maximum award of 20,000 TWD. The list of awardees and amounts will be determined by the department's academic review committee.
- Awarded students must complete 20 hours of voluntary service during the semester and achieve a GPA of 3.38 (80) in the first semester to be eligible for the second semester's scholarship.
